The Fools' Journey
A MOTION PICTURE EXPERIENCE UNLIKE ANY OTHER
"The Fools' Journey" invites viewers into a world of myth, magick, and metaphor, where they will bear witness to an auspicious encounter between grandmother "Turtle" Elspeth, and a young seeker known to us only as "The Querent".
Over the two and a half hours to follow, Grandmother Turtle leads a journey through the 22 archetypes of the tarot where sage wisdom is offered, cautionary tales are shared, and a curious ensemble of characters are encountered, each hailing from even more curious circumstances. This captivating full length feature film is loaded with symbolism, meta-referencing, and stories of interwoven fates presented by an eclectic cast of actors, film makers, musicians, and artists.
"The Fools' Journey" merges the dual-narrative screenwriting structure of Rob Reiner's 1987 classic film, "The Princess Bride", with the music video concept album approach as presented in the 1982 Pink Floyd film, "The Wall", resulting in the world's first Tarot Rock Opera.
